January 14, 2012 - Texas VHF-FM Society Elects Three New Directors -
There were openings for three director positions due to directors resignations in 2011.
The following members were elected at the SAn Antonio meeting to fill the balance of the vacated positions for the 2011-2013 term:
Louis Petit – WB5BMB, Michael Lay – N5PTN, Chuck Kenworthy - WB5FWI. Congratulations to our new directors !
January 8, 2012 - Texas VHF-FM Society Directors Focus Group in Dallas, TX -
The Society Directors were all invited to a focus group. There was continued discussion of new by-laws suggestions to be present at the Winter meeting in San Antonio.
In attendance were Society President Andy Carstarphen, WY5V, Vice-president Billy McDonald, AK5DX, Secretary Larry Essary, K5XG, Director Grant Laughlin, W5XJ, Director Jerrell Jones, W5TUU, Director Rusty Haddock, AE5AE.
December 04, 2011 - Texas VHF-FM Society Focus Group in Dallas, TX -
Some of the Society Officers and Staff who live in and near to the Dallas area meet to discuss new ideas for moving the Society forward.
Several ideas were presented with great input from all.

November 1, 2011 - Texas VHF-FM Society Officers Volunteer their Time to Install a Tower for the Boy Scouts of America at K5BSA located at Camp Wisdom in Dallas.
Society President Andy Carstarphen, WY5V (right), Society Secretary Larry Essary, K5XG (left), Society member Grant Laughlin, W5XJ (center), and Society Vice-president, Billy MacDonald, AK5DX (not pictured), have volunteered their personal time at Camp Wisdom digging tower bases, trenching for conduit, refurbishing tower sections, and pouring concrete to make Circle 10 Radio Scouting a reality. They will be stacking tower and installing antennas and coax in the upcoming week.
