Written by Mark Stennett Monday, 09 June 2008

HillHaven, Plano Center - Saturday, June 14th  @ 1000

Texas VHF-FM Society Forum
Hosted by Paul Baumgardner, W5PSB, Walter "Rusty" Herman, KB5R
The Texas VHF-FM Society provides frequency coordination services for amateur repeaters in the state of
Texas. Originally founded to provide communications between the various groups in Texas doing repeater
work, the Society also provided a network of parts and equipment for use in repeaters and associated activities.
As the number of repeaters increased over time, in the early 1970's the Society took on the jobs of coordinating
repeaters, setting standards for repeater construction, and band planning of frequencies for repeater
usage in Texas. The Society continues today in it's 41st year as an 800 member strong, statewide organization
that represents the concerns and needs of repeater trustees in Texas.
